The Werste – Wulferdingsen primary school association was created in 2013 by merging the two previously independent primary schools. The Werste location has about twice as many pupils as the Wulferdingsen location. The two locations are about seven kilometres away. Both locations offer open all-day classes.

Our motto "We are colorful - so what?" has emerged over the last few years during our intensive collaboration. During the process of growing together and developing joint work plans, performance concepts and especially the joint school program, the need to treat all children equally became apparent from the very beginning. Tolerance and respect are our top priority and we have made this goal, which is an ongoing process, a particular priority by being certified as a "School without Racism - School with Courage".
